EU's Michel, von der Leyen and UK PM Johnson to hold high level Brexit talks on June 15

European Council President Charles Michel, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson will be holding high-level talks on June 15th to revive talks on the future EU-UK relationship, an EU spokesperson announced on Thursday.

Market reaction

The GBP/USD pair ignored this announcement and was last seen losing 1.1% on the day at 1.2604. Risk aversion on Thursday is providing a boost to the greenback. As of writing, the US Dollar Index was up 0.5% on the day at 96.55.
