Fitch affirms UK at AA+, outlook stable

FXstreet.com (Córdoba) - Fitch Ratings has affirmed the UK's rating at 'AA+', with stable outlook the agency said in a statement Wednesday.

Among key drivers, Fitch cited stronger UK recovery since last review in April 2013. "Quarterly GDP growth accelerated to 0.7% and 0.8% in 2Q13 and 3Q13, respectively. Fitch judges the 2013 pick-up to be predominantly cyclical, driven by stronger household consumption and housing investment", the agency said. However, Fitch said the UK still lags most of its rated peers.
