Research Team at ANZ, notes that the European data was generally weaker than expected which hit the investors sentiment.

“There was the sentiment hit from “Brexit”, with German investor sentiment posting a sharp decline. The ECB bank lending survey also pointed toward weaker credit conditions in June, and UK house prices declined. The one upside surprise was UK headline and core inflation, which ticked up due to higher petrol and airline prices respectively.”
