China's May PMI in line, fastest expansion since Nov 2014

FXStreet (Bali) - China’s National Bureau of Statistics has reported its manufacturing PMI for the month of May, coming in line with expectations at 50.2 against the 50.1 figure in April, wit the actual number representing the fastest pace of expansion since November last year.

Meanwhile, the non-manufacturing PMI gauge decline to 53.2 in May, which is a 0.2 bp decrease from April's reading, and translates in the third consecutive decline, and the slowest pace of expansion in 17 months.

During the weekend, comments from Fan Jianping, Chief Economist at the State Information Centre, crossed the wires via the state-controlled China Securities Journal, noting that China's growth may steady in the second part of this year.
