US: Initial Jobless Claims rose to 360K
FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - According to the Labour Department, the Americans that filed in their first initial claims for regular state unemployment-insurance benefits rose by 32K last week to a seasonally adjusted 360K in the week ended May 10, below expectations at 330K and coming from 328K (revised) in the previous print.
Continuing claims, which reflect people already receiving benefits, fell by 4K to a seasonally adjusted 3.009 million in the week ended May 4 vs. 3.013 million in the previous week (revised).
